The Best Age

One of our pastors told me two weeks ago that the elderly community that he goes every thursday were having a party, one of the ladies would turn 96. I promptly asked him if I could join them and register this historical moment.

I’ve always had a dream, to go to a public place, and start shooting elderly portraits for free, but never had the opportunity to do so, two weeks ago I had, and couldn’t miss it.

The experience it’s like a university course, with a major in “LIFE” I learned a lot this morning, and I couldn’t wait to share with you guys.

The happiness of these ladies, seeing me and my friend Augusto (video), was extraordinary, it’s like we brought hope for them again, they had a reason to do their make up, put the best clothes, and have some fun.

If you’re a photographer out there and never done something similar, do it, and do it soon, it won’t help you grow your business or get you richer, but the lesson you’ll learn, is something that money can’t buy, for everything else, you might want to use your mastercard.
