My last wedding of 2010. Caryn and Federico’s story could easily be a movie, She went to study in Spain, and met him there, he’s a teacher and decided to live in Miami, where Caryn is from… As you can see in the photos, the happiness around was incredible, what a vibe. I loved it.

Last saturday was awesome, Franck and Joanna arrived one week prior to their wedding from Paris, where they’re from. Franck is french, and brought his family from france, Joanna is from Colombia, but living in france for a while, and they decided to get married in Miami, it would be a lot easier for Joanna’s family to come. I was completely lost, my french is limited to: Bon Soir and Merci Beaucoup, It was a challenge with the formals to do group shots with people that you cannot understand, but the love language was above any language and everything was perfect. Franck and Joanna did a great job and when you mix all these good things, you get wonderful shots.

Colombians know how to party

This was a different wedding, actually, it was more of a celebration, they were married for more than 5 years, but never had a wedding. So it was similar to a regular wedding, but without the formalities. When she hired me, she asked, I want to enjoy my party, capture things as it happens, so there wasn’t a single directed shot here, all captured as it happened, and she got to enjoy her day.
Everybody says Brazilians are the best when it comes to party. Well, if you believe that, you have to see Carolina’s family. They’re colombian, and this wedding was one of the funniest ever. Live music, people dancing and laughing all the time. Thankfully I was given the direction from the newlyweds to capture the whole wedding in the photojournalistic style (I can do both, and the amount on each style will depend on the clients request) So I did, I captured their emotions the way I like it. Naturally.
Another thing that I will remember this wedding forever, was how polite and friendly these people were to me. At the end, the father of the bride came, and hugged me, thanking for my service. he tried out some portuguese, and told me that I was in his heart and that he loved me. Ok, he had a couple of scotch ehehehe, but it was very kind of him. But even before he had the scotches, he had came to me before thanking me (without the I love you) but the main point is, the politeness and how thankful they were, it made my day.
Once again The Cocoplum did a great job, the food was great, the decoration, top notch. All the staff took very good care of Carolina’s guests, and they loved it.

Wow, what a night. It was great to meet new clients in potential eye to eye. This is one of the best part of my job, get to know new people, talk to them, present my work and get to be friends.
The show was a success, and The Cocoplum’s staff once again overcame themselves to deliver such a great night.
