Nothing can match true love, one of the great privileges of being a wedding photographer is to capture these truthful moments, even though, some times I have to direct my clients, their feeling for each other takes place and surpass every direction. Specially when all these things are mixed with kindness and support, these guys came in ready to do this, and the result was awesome. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding.
New York is a magical place, specially during spring, every time there’s a session there, I know I’m bringing home amazing photos… but just amazing photos without fun is not worthy, I had a blast with Claudia and Jorge, we went to central park, grand central station, chelsea market and time square… there’s no way to end the day better than eating an authentic home style italian food at Carmine’s.
I glad to share this amazing session.
When Adria called me saying she wanted to shoot around brickell key and brickell, I cheered, not only because Brickell is amazing, but because we were shooting on Brickell with a meaning, they both live there, and it’s where they want to eternize this wonderful moment together.
Not to mention how sweet and kind they are, our session was a breeze, the weather was perfect and I couldn’t ask for a better engagement session.
Once you spend 2 minutes with Olenka and David, you can tell that they were made for each other, the way they treat each other with love, respect, it’s just inspiring. But men shall not only live by love and respect, they have a very healthy addiction: “Comic Books” – The great thing is, both of them are just fanatic as the other one so we had to go to this amazing store called Tate’s, their staff is very friendly, as Olenka called ahead to ask if it was possible to shoot in there, they were very welcoming, and the photos couldn’t be more awesome Then we went to downtown Miami to capture some great iconic images As I always say, “it doesn’t matter if the photos will look good, the most important thing is to have fun” – and we definitely did have a lot of fun
This is the best time of the year, for sure not only because the holidays are around the corner, but because in Miami, the weather gets nice we shot this whole session outdoors without a single drop of sweat, upper 60s all the time, so we had nothing to worry, but capture the essence of Elizabeth and Miguel’s love for each other.
Words won’t do justice to this session that we planned to be a mixture of editorial and photojournalism – The most beautiful season with the amazing city of New York, I could shoot there forever, specially when you have Stephanie and Oren around, Stephanie grew up in Coral Springs, and Oren, according to Stephanie, is a city guy who was born and raised in Brooklyn, we spent 6 hours having fun, knowing each other, talking about the best NBA team, the Knicks lol – and walking thru Central Park, Soho, Brooklyn and Times Square, each place we went, was a set for a movie, when you add a gorgeous locations with a couple in love, magic happens and I had the privilege to capture this amazing combination. I cannot finish this post without thanking the great support that Sam (Stephanie’s sister) gave us thru the session
It’s not often that I get to shoot brazilians like myself Anna grew up in the same neighborhood I grew up, but we never met, until the day she booked me for her wedding, 8 years after I moved out. Juan didn’t get to meet with us, and again, I was going to meet the groom to be at the engagement session, it’s funny because I never know how they will react to my directions. Once again I had a great surprise, Juan is the kind of guy that you want him to be your friend. We had a great time shooting at the parking lot by Telemundo where they first met and where Juan proposed to Anna, then we went to the place where they spend a lot of time together, Dolphin Mall. Anna, who’s a journalist, brought her grandfather’s Yashica B – a super rare camera, I was dying to bring it home with me throughout the afternoon, we were laughing all the time, having a lot of fun, it’s more than clear that these two lovebirds were made for each other
I hope you enjoy these photos as we enjoyed making them!
Since I met Ana and Len, I knew they were made for each other, it’s a kind of relationship that I always envisioned having with my wife. I always tell that my profession is a source of inspiration for my personal life, and couples like Ana and Len assure I’m not lying to myself
This engagement session was definitely unique, I had a meeting near the biltmore hotel at 1pm – so I got there at 3, we were suppose to start at 4, so the first time in many years, I actually took a nap in my car before they came… lol – but I’ll tell you this, I’m thinking of always arriving 1 hour early for that power nap.
The results couldn’t be better, the photos are marvelous, not to mention the great work Grace Aguado which is a very talented Make Up Artist, and an amazing person to be with.
Without further ado, I have the privilege to present you Ana and Len
We had the most amusing engagement session of the summer, it started in a ranch, then we rode golf carts with monster truck wheels to remote places I never thought I could get there, surprisingly no mosquitos bites at all then we met at Cafe 27 with a huge crew to do the bike shots, Bernie builds them, and this particular bike he custom built to the Miami Ink’s owner. We couldn’t end the day better, eating the best gator bites I have ever tasted, it was simply delicious – After this amazing experience, I couldn’t wait longer to post these photos.
Yolanda and Bernard came from Boston to do their engagement session in Miami, she’s from Brazil and he’s from Cameron great mixture, and the photos couldn’t be better! I’m very proud to post these stunning images Enjoy!
