I started photography long time ago, and since I bought my first professional camera back in 1999 I had two subjects that I wanted to shoot before I die. Puffins and Monarch Butterflies at their natural habitat.
Two weeks ago I was shooting an engagement session, when my clients went inside to change, I was holding my camera and a butterfly was hovering around, the orange color caught my attention, but I could never imagine it was a free Monarch, I got closer, and there he was, looking for some nectar in couple flowers. I got so excited and started shooting, and got some beautiful photos.
I know I’ll never find puffins here in South Florida, but as soon as I go to Maine, I will take my gear
Cheers,
Marcio

I was very busy lately, and forgot about taking pictures of my son, I was upstairs on the bed while they were having an afternoon nap, when they woke up, I asked my wife to come to my office and get my camera, she came down quickly, and this is the result… Amanda, she’ll turn 3 in two months, and Luigi just turned 5 months
These two guys are a lot of fun, I don’t know where would I be without them

I got a new camera this week, and it’s a little better than the one I had, the results are incredible, the photos is coming out a lot sharper than before. This weekend, Amanda turned 2 years and 5 months, I decided to do a little portrait session with her… I don’t get tired of photographing her. God has been good with me, all I asked, was. “Dear God, please send us a healthy baby and that she looks just like mommy” He definitely answered my prayers

Hello there, today was a big day, my son, Luigi was born.
Me and Renata decided to include an F as his middle name, to honor our grandfathers… Renata’s Grandfather, (in memoriam) Francisco Cardoso and (in memoriam) Fernando Garcia and my grandfather, Fernando Cavalcanti… I wish my other grandfather had a name with F too, but his name is Ayrton Holmes, but he won’t be forgotten
Thank God, everything went perfect, Luigi is a healthy boy, 7 pounds 10 ounces, measuring 21 inches.

Hello there,
Today Enzo was born, a healthy boy with 9 pounds and 21 inches. He’s my sister’s only son[so far], and she’s my only sister.
I went to the hospital and made a documentary session of his birth, I couldn’t go inside the surgery room, and if I could, I wouldn’t have gone, because I faint when I see a paper cut, imagine a c-section.
When he gets home, we’ll do another photo session.

Wow, what I great day I had with my wife Renata, my daugter Amanda, my son Luigi (in the womb) and couple good friends. Renata had this great idea to call in some friends that had the same age-range kids of Amanda, to join her in an egg hunt, but later on, we decided to go to a park instead.
The kids loved, the adults had a great time, and I got some great shots.

Today we bough things for Amanda’s first egg hunt, She was so happy with the basket and the eggs (without chocolates, it was before lunch) I couldn’t wait and took some pictures. Saturday we’ll go out with couple friends for a park for the real deal.

Come on, think twice, I’m a family guy
WPPI is the largest gathering of wedding and portrait photographers in the entire world, and when that many cameras converge in the same place, photo shoots are bound to happen.
I just confirmed my presence at the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International, convention and trade show, that will be held in vegas from march 4th to 11th.
I will shoot a wedding on the 5th, so I will miss the first three days, but I’ll be there from the 7th to 11th.
I will try to keep you posted from there, but the convention will drain all my energies.
Who wins with that trip? well, all of us, I’m coming back with a lot of new ideas, knowledge, new development for my business, new products and the benefits will be yours.
Who looses? my wife, amanda, luigi (still in the womb), dolly, luccio and luna. I’ll miss them dearly and I hope I’ll be missed by them
